New Medical Occupations (2nd Edition)

Nurse

The rule book gives occupation details for doctors and paramedics, but not nurses. The following can be used for a nurse working in a hospital or local community health centre.

Entry: Undergraduate degree, Medical: 3+

First Term Skills: The character receives the following skills in the first term:

  • Medical (Diagnosis): 2
  • Biology: 1
  • Chemistry: 1
  • Observation: 1

Subsequent Term Skills: A total of four levels from any one or a combination of the following:

  • Medical
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Instruction
  • Persuasion
  • Observation

Contacts: One per turn, medical. On a D10 roll of 10, the contact is foreign.

Special: None

Médecins Sans Frontières Doctor

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters.

A doctor working for MSF as a volunteer, sent on assignments to areas in need of medical aid.

Entry: Must have spent at least one term as a doctor

First Term Skills: The character receives the following skills in the first term:

  • Medical: 1
  • Persuasion: 1
  • Language: 1
  • Instruction: 1

Subsequent Term Skills: A total of four levels from any one or a combination of the following:

  • Medical
  • Persuasion
  • Instruction
  • Language
  • Observation
  • Leadership
  • Scrounging

Contacts: One per turn, medical or journalism. Roll 1 D10 for 6+ for the contact to be foreign

MSF Nurse

A nurse working for MSF as a volunteer, sent on assignments to areas in need of medical aid.
